I have been wanting to lift my explorer for a while now, but i want to make sure i find a kit that will work with my explorer. I wana do like a 10 inch lift on it.

no way to do a 10 inch lift,, unless you are building it all yourself,, you will have to make everything,, or it's gonna cost big ,
there is a way to get 2.5 inches in suspension lift, and than adding a body lift too , making 5 1/2 in total, and for under $1000,00

ok, yeah thats good, I just want a lift that will alow me to fit some pretty big all terrain tires on it. Now how would i go about finding the lift kit for my truck, no site has any for a 2004 4dr XLT

come over to the modified section, better info:

as for 10", i don't think its possible..or is it....

i have one of, if not the largest 3rd generation on this site...i will say this...there is strain on my ball joints but thats all i am experiecing...it drives the same as stock...its just 10 inches taller...

and as for the lift, the stickies on the modified section will answer that

try Roadbully
he is a member of this site,,he has a 2.5 inch lift for that one,

lets see,, hmmm,, 2.5 suspensoin lift, +3 inch body lift ,+33 inch tires(stock are about 29) ,,, equals, about 9.5 lift total, , not a 10 inch lift kit,,

Math is just a bit off...if stocks are 29" and you go to 33", you gain 4" of tire, but only 2" of lift...so 5.5+2 is 7.5"

okay , yeah, i got that wrong,,

is a 7 1/2 inch higher truck high enuff, ???

With my 265's, the ride height is about 1.35" higher then stock and it feels like more then that. If it is high enough, it is all up to you as it is your vehicle. I personally think that these rigs 7.5" taller then stock is a bit too much. I'm looking to add around 2" more (springs and struts not spacers) and that will be tall enough for me.

you can get the 3 inch rb spacers but its at your own risk. auburn has 3 in front and 2.5 in the rear. i have the body lift and soon to get 3inch front and 3 inch rear but it does take some grinding to fit them. so that would be a 8 inch total lift with 285s but im throwing 20s on with m/ts with a over all diameter of 34.2 so
