Alright....I am kinda getting frustrated...I have taken NUMEROUS looks from directly under my truck and from either side. I SEE ONLY ONE (1) CATALYTIC CONVERTER. I have a 1995 V-6 4.0L OHV. Should I see 2 catalytic converters? If so, where? Pics would be great...Basically this is one of those "Does that really exist?" type threads...Are there really 2 cats on my Explorer?(CAUSE IF SO, THEY'RE BOTH GONE FOR A SINGLE HIGH-FLOW)....Help me out here guys...I'm kinda frustrated....

Last time I checked I had 2, at least I think I did. They should be one in front of the other. Probably on the dirver's side. Sorry I don't have any pics. My neighbor has a digital camera, but it takes too long to get it, save it convert it and upload it. But if you know what the cat looks like, then you should be able to see if there are 2. They aren't that far apart. It could be that someone swapped them for a single high flow like you suggested. Although, maybe the later models only have one? I wouldn't know though, since I have a 91.

Here's a very quick sketch of my exhaust system: 1996 4.0 OHV

Engine > Headers > Y-pipe > Cat 1 > Cat 2 > Muffler > Tailpipe

The cats are about as large as a good-sized book, and are octagonal in shape. It is possible you only have one after previous exhaust work, but I don't know if that's legal.

i actually have 2 cats on separate pipes, and each pipe goes into the muffler, i have a dual-in muffler!!! and single out. thats why i cant find a freaking muffler anywhere!! i hate this dual in stuff!! no one makes a muffler that i want, i dont want dual out, and i dont want 3 inches out! the only two options flowmaster has

My 2nd cat is also parallel and not inline. One cat is easy to see and its flat side lays horizontally. The other one is beside and above it and the flat side is positioned vertically.
