- 1999 Ford Explorer
Hello Everyone,
I accidentally found this forum while I was searching how many pounds my 1999 Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer, V6, two-wheel-drive will pull in the form of a travel trailer. Does anyone have the answer to this question?
I LOVE my Explorer!I bought it in 2007 from a dealer. At that time, it had 110K on it and looked brand new! Someone really took good care of it. I've driven it across the country a couple times and have used it to move several times and I am always hauling stuff around. It is a GREAT SUV! It now has 185K on it. I have done the usual maintenance things to it and have had no unusual problems - actually, I take that back. Something is now draining the battery and regular mechanics can't figure out what it is. It's not the obvious stuff; e.g., alternator, etc.
Presently, I am replacing the front sway bars (for the second time since I've had it) and the rear axel bearings.
I live in Colorado now, but have lived on both coasts and many places in between. I hope when the time comes, I can find another older explorer like this one (minus the miles, of course).
What is a "tag?"
