So far I'm only pricing out the Pioneer DH 1600, the buttons light up green closely matching that of the dash of my 93 Explorer.

Are there any other decks that don't stick out like a sore thumb in the dash?

(I had a 1600 until someone decided to help themselves to it one late night  )

Alpine's units have green. The CDA-9835 has like 800 color hues so you can get an exact match.

There are many HU out there that have multiple display and backlight colors. The HU I just got, Apline CDA-9833, has 512 button colors!

I think Clarion has an all green one. Kenwood also has color changing displays.

Hey MeDICX, how do you like your CDA-9833? I just ordered one today and am curious as to how it's working out for you. Thanks.

The Pioneer DEH-P3600 is mostly grean w/ red and blue and metches really well w/the stock dash lighting. Good HU

The Pioneer DEH-P4600MP has a blue display but the lights for buttons and such shine the same green as the rest of everything in the truck.... I think it matches pretty well but it sounds like there are some better options. Just throwing up a cheaper plan to go with.

those units expensive? because i don't have the money to buy something thats bling bling ;)

Just got it installed a few hours ago. Changed HU, door speakers and figured while I had door panels off, might as well tint the windows. So four hours later I got new system in and windows are 20% all around.

That baby rocks! I have never seen a HU that'll dim the lights when turned up, more power than I need! Love it except the x-over feature and EQ settings are confusing as hell. There is a feature on Alpine's website that'll allow you to make changes and save it as a mp3. Then pop the CD in the HU and "download" your new settings. Kinda cool and makes it easier.

Thanks for the response medicx, I think my current Alpine HU has that thing to screw with all the speakers so that the sound hits you all at the same time but you have to do it manually and I never bothered. I will also get the harness to bypass my factory amp, which I have needed for a while now so I am excited for this new setup.

i have a kenwood kdc-mpv622, display changes colors and u can change the button colors (red or green). i think they go for under $100 on ebay these days
