I was viewing a webpage on the new H3T hummer and came across a pic I can't ID what am I looking at??? here's the link for all the pics and specs Hummer H3T

Its the motor!

Section is correct. That would be the motor surrounded with plastic. Remember the hood tilts forward. Youc an see the Hummer grill in the pics.

I'm not a big GM fan, but I have to admit they are working on some cool ideas...

Except I-5s are inherently more prone to problems than 4s or 6s....

There's no way they could package the motor like that in a production vehicle. Looks like it would have profound cooling issues as well as exposure to the wheelwells.

I guess I was looking too hard cause I thought it was something under the center console like a sound system or dvd player or some kind of cool air control set up.


Now that I sit back and look at the pic I can see the tilt hood and bumper. I guess it was not seeing the tires that threw me......by the way where are those tires they should be in the pic shouldn't they???

That is what I thouht too. I don't know why you would want all of the engine covered with plastic. The last thing I want when offroading is uneeded trim parts.
