My mods start with actually buying an Explorer. I'm in the process of looking at a '92 Sport with 4'' Skyjacker lift and BF Goodwrinch A/T 33's. So maybe sometime I'll get one and eventually start on some mods.
Looks good Josh, where did you get the compressor, what kind is it?
BTW got the truck torn apart going to replace both axle seals/bearings in the front end while its out. Hopfully she will be up and running again tonight. In the mean time i'm driving my girl's Optima
Just dropped off my "X" to have the Rusted Rockers replaced. Their are going to replace the rockers undercoat and prime them. Then I'm going to have them Rhino Lined. Hopefully then I'll get at least a nother 10 years out of them.
Future Mod's to come:
Locker in the rear
Stereo System
Off Road Lights-(installed front light bar 2 weeks ago)
Winch-Ramsey 8000(Installed Warn Front Receiver several weeks ago for removable winch sysytem)
Kodiak Sidewinder Steps(Retractable)
Hey thanks fellas. Yomie, the compressor is a vaiair, if that is spelled right. I didn't pay hardly anything for it. I really don't remember the website i got if from. It is a 100 series hard mount, so it should be the same price no matter where you get it, or around the same price.
ok trucks done, differential is all sealed everythings together. now i have a wobbly drivers side tire, its torques right, and the rims not bent, i'm thinking i now have a bad wheel bearing will it ever end?
Well, at least you got the drip fixed! Maybe you've knocked off a wheel weight, just a thought off the top of my head.
Here are a couple of pictures i was able to snap of my wheels on my truck. Didn't turn out to great cause it is so bright outside, but you get the idea!
The new 32 BFG M/T k/m's are on now. the only place they had to trim was the tupperware . they sound sweet! Got a question, is my speedomiter screwed up now? i also still have to go get it alligned.
I'm back... and after having a tranny put in, and killing the howl by installing a new air-bypass-valve, everything is running fairly well. Added the Euro guages and am now looking to beef up power some more.
Is the Jet Power Control module off Performance parts so bad, or is Diablo the way to go? I'm still not seeing a clear path for Chips. Help?
I may drop some money on exhaust as well... just looking for more out of my 4.0 SOHC since getting something new/er isn't really an option and I'm faily happy with the 96 body...
Love to hear suggestions and thanks in advance as always.
Cheers.
David, your speedo is going to be way off. You can buy a gear that goes on the speedo sensor on the tcase from ford for like 10 bucks, not much at all. I bought one for mine, do search for it you should find what you need. Do you have any pictures yet?
Yomie, as soon as you give me the money for the lift and tires i will put it one!!

Well I dont have anything I am doing to it right now. I just finished doing alot of mods to it in august.
Plans for the near future are:
Get an alignment
change rear diff fluid
build and install a rear diff guard
have ignition cylinder rebuilt
build and install a KKM style intake
finish building my 5lb CO2 system
tie brush guard into frame via front receiver hitch
But right now I have another vehicle on the priority list that needs a ton of stuff (the drivetrain is sitting between the frame rails held up by rachet straps ).
