What are these 3 dashes?

I have a 2006 explorer EB. On the dash cluster to the left of the compass are 3 dash marks stacked atop each other. What do they mean?

to the left? because to the left is just the end of the display.

Are you talking about the display that sits between the large round speedometer and tach bezels?

As you can see, there is no room to the left of the compass readout.
