what are they called?

i have a gen 1 2 door, 2wd, there is a clunking noise often, seems from the front. there are 2 bars one one each side that come front to back what are they called? looks to be a bushing there? cant those make a clunking noise if wore out where is the best place to get some and what kinda? poly?

Orion1998, those are called radius arms. and yes if the radius arm bushings are shot you can get a clunking noise. Factory rubber or poly is your call. Poly will stiffen the ride. If you are an average DIY'er you can do this job in an afternoon. Be ready to cut or grind off 4 or 6 rivets that hold the cross member to the frame. then replace the rivets with good quality bolts.

thanks alot! so fast, any idea what size bolts? and will i need nuts washer/ lock washer? so i can have everything at once which is recamended poly or rubber?
