what chip/programmer should I get?

I need a chip/programmer for my soon to be 99 ranger with explorer 5.0. I am running a tremec and need a programmer that I can get rid of the auto trans functions. I have asked many on the ranger site, but you guys deal with the motors everyday! Any input would be awesome. Also, the motor is a 96, and I will be running the powerdyne/fms supercharger. Thanks guys.

I would contact apten. Alot of people on this site run them and swear by them. I have heard they are really great to deal with and can custom build you a program. They have chips and they just came out with a flasher that plugs in and flashes your computer. I plan on going with this when I get the money. I believe their site is www.apten-us.com

a few guys are using the SCT tuner for their swaps and thats what I am leaning to. I am definitely going to check out apten, since that is the popular one here. thanks man!

actually...I just checked out the site for apten. I don't see any products for home tuning. it's all pre-prog and then send back for tuning. let me know.
