What is some routine maintenance you would do on a first gen at 100K..I have about 102K now, and am wondering about belts, o2 sensors..etc.

thanks in advance

pray. LOL just check the fluid levels and consistency along with just look over parts i would not replace anything that wasnt broken have about 212000 on mine so i been through it twice

nice..im hoping to get that much out of her.

Right now shes running great, i mean i keep my fluids new...should get the Trans fluid changed soon probably, I changed it about maybe 10K miles ago or something

So there is no reason to change o2 sensors unless they are broken?

what about belts, don't they normally get changed at some point..lol

I think I am going to change my plugs and wires.

If you haven't changed your differential fluid, now is a good time. I think my manual recommended 100k for the interval.

I change belts on any vehicle at a 50k mile interval. Its cheap insurance. I had a friend who threw a belt on the freeway - water pump stopped turning, vehicle overheated, cracked heads.

Inspect your radiator hoses and replace if they are in bad condition.

Sell it, get another and run it to 100k. lol
Nah, we have Xs here that have lasted into the 3-400K range+... fluid checks/flushes, belts/hoses, prob most things checked in a tune-up would be fine.
Your manual may have that information in there, and if not, Jiffy/Quik Lube or the Dealership have a lot of things to spend money on per mileage... they might even print a list out for ya but these are all good ideas without going overboard and dropping serious $.

I know I need some radiator hoses, or some vacuum lines associated with the rad or heater

I have a small antifreeze leak and have to add some about once a week or every two weeks

I don't have to add much, just some to the reserve tank.

I don't know how to isolate the problem, it might even be a crack in the radiator itself, but Im thinking if it was that then there would be more fluid leaking then there is

So when you get a tune up, they check all your hoses and what not? I thought they just did like plugs and wires

Dead Link Removed

found this..seems pretty cool

the reason why i reccomended to change the o2's was because when i changed mine at 75k i got much better gas milage. more power and a quiter smoother running engine.

i also got similar results when i changed my plugs and wires.

also definatly get a tranny flush

Pick up a Haynes repair manual. It will tell you everything that you should do and how often.
