Hi All....

Still not got got the Superlift fitted

Just been ripped off by a company called all 4 wheels. I have just had to pay them for the luxury of having them take my X apart, realise that the bolts for the kit were not in the box - so they just put it back together again and charged me for the luxury!....

Now - is there anybody in the UK who can help me ?

Pay them for what again? If you hired them to install a kit and they did not do what you hired them to do, I would dispute the payment personally.

They should have gotten bolts once they agreed to install the kit, if the kit was missing them. Of course they can charge you a ton for the hardware, but what they did is poor business practice IMO.

Is the SuperLift kit new (boxed) ? If so, that is Superlift's fault for not including all necessary hardware and I think they should pay you for the amount that "All 4 Wheels" charged you.

Other than that, I think you should just do the install yourself. That is, if you have the tools, space, and the time.

Superlift have told me the bolts would definetely have been in the box as they weigh everything before it leaves...obviously they must have a perfect system  Summit Racing have told me they will send me the bolts free of charge, but I may still have to pay import tax....as far as they are concerned they are doing this as a goodwill gesture and will not accept any liability. They say the installer should have checked first - he says it is not his fault as I supplied the kit (unopened).

Could the installer have misplaced the bolts? How long did the installer have the kit before starting work? Just running through a scenario where someone at the shop pinched the hardware causing you to be in this situation... Whenever I order anything I always open it immiedietly and check for missing parts...

they had the kit for about 2 weeks before they started.

Are you sure they took the front end apart? It sounds to me that this company may be trying to scam you. I would look for evidence that they actually took apart the front end. If they didn't then as far as the US concerned, that would be illegal (charging for services that were not performed). If they say in a couple of days that they have found the bolts and wnat to install now, i would check with what ever agency that regulates businesses, Like the better business bureau in the US. Good luck.

Did you have a contract with them? The 1st direction of every kit I have ever installed states to open the cartons and ensure all parts are accounted for... They obviously didn't do this and therefore you should not be liable for their mistake..
