'96 Explorer 302 with about 9x,000 miles.

Maybe 100-150 miles on these plugs and they all look exactly like this. Looks like oil deposits on them. Oil looks a little fresh..?? I thought it strange that they all looked like this.

What you guys think? Engine sat for a LONG time before I brought it to life. Maybe 3 years. Didn't see smoke out the back and it seemed to idle and run smooth although not the peppiest 302 I have ever owned. Engine is back out for trans seal replacement, so now is the time for me to find stuff.

I had a hard time getting it focused with the flash. It did a great job of showing all the crap on the threads though.

That brown is oil though. Seems like quite a bit for just a hundred miles? Maybe not. A little brake clean and papertowel and it cleaned up some. That crap on the threads is from me laying the plug down trying to take a picture and it picked up a bunch of junk. :)

unless the plugs are wetter than the pics show id consider those to be good plugs

oh man dude you gotta replace those they look horrible
haha jkjk
mine look a little worse :p

pretty normal

Plugs look good. looks like you may have had a little dirty plug sockets in your heads to me. Washed the motor lately?

I knew everyone would pick up on the nasty threads. :) It is a little wetter then it looks, but maybe it isn't as bad as I thought. Fine... I will wait till it blows and then build it. :)
