Assuming I decide to sell this thing when done, what do you think I can get for it? I'm thinking of asking maybe $5200 and I might take $4800.

I am not really sure what the going price is, I know though the Sport Trac is a pretty popular truck, have you tried maybe checking with Kelly Blue Book?

Price depends a lot on your local area. KBB and Edmunds are good places to start, but their guides are way under what Sport Tracs go for around here. Prices seem to be a lot higher here in central Iowa than in the northeast US where they seem to be pretty cheap.

I'd throw it up on CL for $5,750 and take 5 grand.

Those ST's are worth a good chunk of change in NW, Atl area. Where abouts are you, Marietta right?

Checking craigslist in the Atlanta area $6000+ is not unheard of. Most of the decent ones seem to be around $5000 +/-.

I'm about 45-50 miles north of Marietta, in Jasper. I never find trucks in my area, they're all beat to crap. It's always interested me that ST's hold their valve so well, as compared to regular Explorers. Anything with a bed (even a plastic one) is just worth more I guess because you can do WORK with it.

Yea that seems pretty low honestly, I'm sure its worth every bit 5 grand.

Rarely see 2WD in Ia, but $6000 is low for 4WD around here.

I live in taylorsville and it's the same out here. A 1991 loaded up explorer with 100,000 miles is worth half of what a 1991 beat to hell, no options ranger is worth.
I think it's more about the symbol of a pickup bed, then it's actual utility. So many people drive a truck and rarely use it for anything but dirt roads.

Of course it's way more pleasant taking trash to the dump, or hauling kayaks with my brothers ranger than my explorer.

I think a lot of it is due to the st being discontinued and the lack of new small/mid trucks from ford? Could make the demand high- which is good for anyone that's owns a st in decent to good shape
