Maybe a chrome billet grille or maybe some fogs or chrome wiper blades?

Do you want exterior mods/appearance only? Here is my few tips:

There's not too much cosmetic parts offered for the Explorer. You may want to consider body kit offered by Saleen, Explorer Express, and Xenon (not sure if they have one for the Explorer). What about a custom paint job? As I can see, you still have the stock exhaust. You may want to consider putting an aftermarket exhaust with a matching stainless/chrome tip (Borla, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, etc.) to go with your chrome wheels. As far as the front of your truck, you may want to consider putting in a billet grille. You can also put an aftermarket airdam.

Just out of curiosity, but how big are your rims and how low did you drop your Explorer? Your truck looks awesome.

Try getting some custom head lights. http://www.autosyndicate.com/ Check out the clear front headlights and clear back lights. They give it a unique look. And it might sound a little cheezy but how about that boat propeller looking thing that goes into a trailer hitch. I bought one and I love it. It goes great with a black car that has a lot of chrome and stainless steel on it. And how about a custom hood. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tips and compliments guys, I'm gonna get the front clears with the piaa superwhite healights in em next week. For the record, those are 18" wheels and I dropped it 1". The rear clears are not street legal yet right?

If I remember right, you are from New York, and clears are definitly not legal here on LI. A couple of my friends have them and all of them have gotten tickets for them. But for clears if you put the new LED bulbs in (no sure if they work but I have seen them on rice burners), and they look like regular tail light bulbs. But I think your truck looks good with the blackouts.

You can get the red and clear rears. www.autoaccessory.com sells them. It doesnt say it on their site, but I have a catalog, in there they state that they are DOT approved. I have seen them on a black explorer they look great. They are clear on top and bottom with the red brake light in the middle. I like them alot. I am ordering a pair this week.

Jornum1, can you post a pic of those. I checked the site, but I did not a pic of the clear corners.

I heard so much about those red and clear lights for the rear. But I actucally haven't seem them myself. I heard they are on backorder forever. I would also like to see pics whoever gets them.

Sideswipe...nice ride! I think I've seen a black explorer with its rocker panel painted with the entire body. I think it look good too...just a suggestion. I can see a front hood deflecter that probably would also look nice.

Sorry guys no pic in the catalog either. Not for the explorer at least. I was going to call tomorrow and see what the availability is. I have seen them on a black explorer sport. They looked sweet. I like the altezza lights but dont think they would look right on a explorer. So i am going with the clear and reds. I will fill you all in with the info I find.

You may want to consider body kit offered by Saleen ...

n2knee, where can i find these partsby saleen. there is a sport in the before and after forum with a saleen roof spoiler that i would love to have on my '95. i went to http://www.saleen.com but they didn't have anything for explorers that i could find.

I will deifnitly agree to the Saleen kit. I think it would look crazy if you got the airdam, hood and stuff, either a Saleen spoiler but if not a Lund airdam and the billet grille and throw a set of fogs in the air dam. That would deifnitly make the truck look incredible. Good luck, I definitly want to see pictures when it's done.

You can call their office directly, because their site doesn't really have anything much to offer. Be warned though, it may take a while to get a hold of the operator. This happened to me quite a few times already.

BTW...I got the Explorer X airdam installed and painted to match my tan paint.

thanks, n2knee i will try it!
