Guess they will have to replace the door for the metal damage around the lock?

Busted the 2 plastic clips so I can't just replace the bezel

Just wondering what the point of the alarm is? It doesn't go off when the doors are unlocked while it's active. It's a shame it took this for me to realize that.

Oh my goodness... I'm pissed that someone would even do that. And that they're so stupid they broke every possible thing they could.

damn, i feel your pain right now bro. there is nothing more chicken S than running through someone elses vehicle like a little rat. i hope your insurance co. hooks you up.

i bet he busted the drivers door tumbler and unlocked it as if he had the key. most factory alarms get dis armed if manually unlocked on drivers door. sorry for the loss and damage hopefully insurance covers that for you.

Sorry to hear about this. It really sucks that some one can be so destructive. I have felt this kind of pain three times now. all with different cars.

just a FYI:
I had a 02 mustang with what I thought was a factory alarm system turned out to be nothing more than a keyless entry that flashed the parking lights and honked the horn. I found this out after my window had been broken out and no alarm had gone off. The guy at the shop said that blinking light on the dash was just eye candy. needless to say The car got a clifford system installed.

Yeah this is my third time as well. Same vehicle though. The first time I was actually abducted and they made off with the ST. Luckily I jumped out after 15 mins and the cops found it a few days later abandoned. I'm just happy this time I wasn't involved haha. Sucks hitting the pavement at 30 mph! Insurance seems like they are going to take care of everything. However I have to go through auto insurance for the damage and renter's insurance for the "personal items" so I have 2 deductibles, which are both $250, so I'm out $500. The original cost of the radio. The dumbest part is there was a nut driver in the center console, THAT THEY STOLE, that they could have used to take the bezel bolts out, but no they ripped it out so now the dash has to be replaced. Even made off with the vents?! They did get some prints off the vehicle, so I'm hoping they lead somewhere. I got inside, set the "alarm", and then opened the door. On my old 1986 nissan this would have set the alarm off, however nothing happened on the ST and the little "theft" light was still flashing. I think it's all eye candy as Radio-Active suggests. I'll know hopefully today when I take it to Ford. Oh and yes a real one is going to be installed before another radio goes in.

On an even more of a bummer note, I went offroading with some buddies earlier that day, and the one with all the pics still hasn't sent them to me so I can't share!

i suggest moving bro, thats crazy, three times same truck and one kidnapping, insane. buy a gun

HA! Funny you should mention that. I had a .44 bulldog special when I got abducted. Wanna know what his first question was? Where's your weapons! Considering his was pointed at my head, and mine was in the glove box, I caved. I wouldn't last a second at Guantanamo... Got a .38 now, among others, but I sure don't keep it in the truck.

Ford couldn't tell me anything about the alarm. I think they were all too afraid to say that it really doesn't do anything. Probably afraid of being sued. Just said they'd "look into it".

On a lighter note I was able to get something better than a Focus for a rental!

I guess I will not be moving to Tampa anytime soon. Both of you guys live there.
