What happened to 'Send to Ford' in Google Maps?

How do you like Navigon? I thought about buying that navigation App. The interface looks really nice on Navigon. I have been using MotionX GPS Drive HD on my iPad.

Love Navigon on the iPhones. MotionX is good too, just have to pay yearly for it if I recall.

Motion X yearly fee is for voice directions, the mapping is free.

We noticed google maps option was gone. We can't get mapquest to work now either. We used both and prefer google maps but can use Mapquest. Has anyone got Mapquest to work? I haven't rebooted PC yet but it looks like a Mapquest site issue not PC. I hope mapquest is still working...

Hey, jspeer!

Yes, it's still working. Are you not seeing the SEND TO CAR option in the top right corner of the map, or are you not able to receive it in your vehicle?

I live in Salt Lake City and went to St. George (about 300 miles away) on the weekend to go atv riding. Went to Mapquest to find the hotel directions, after finding it I pressed the "Send" button, then the "Car" button, then it showed either Onstar or Sync.

Long story short, got into my car, pressed the talk button, said services and boom! she asked me if I wanted to be guided to the hotel. It worked perfectly!!!

The send to car option is there and so is SYNC.# We click on that and then we enter primary phone number but mapquest does not let us pick the destination to send to sync.# Used to work flawlessly untill three weeks ago

Mapquest is working again for us. hopefully ford and google will kiss and make up...it is a better mapping system but at least the download to sync works with mapquest

Rebecca...I spoke too soon. Option to choose address is working but won't send to car still. I hit send and it says "Could not connect to Ford Sync Service"

disappointing both services stopped at same time...it was a nice feature

I got the same problem using mapquest. The problem occured using IE9. I have also cleared my cache. No joy in IE

I was able to use this feature in firefox v14.

i think mapquest forgot to QA using IE9. oops !!

Same thing happening to me. After selecting send,car, sync, enter phone number and then click send I get " You must choose a location to send." Map Quest not entering destination.
This sucks. Another bad decision by Ford, I think, to switch from Google!
