When I turn my 91 explorer sport off, it continues to whistle/hum/whine like is going to blow up. I am getting used to it and the car seems to run fine (considering the past 13 yrs). It is in good shape really, but it sounds similar to the sound the fuel pump makes for 2 seconds when you turn the switch on. When I push the power window button after the car is off and the window is already closed, the hum dims with the voltage drop. The sound seems to originate from the back of the vehicle?
