Was under the truck today, and noticed an eye on the front differential case(about 8:30 as you look @ it from the front).
Has always made me wonder, this time figured to ask before I forget.

You mean the spicer symbol stamped into the cover? Now I gotta go look at my front diffs and see what you see

No, there is an eye, about 1" i.d. @ the 8:00 position if you are looking from the front end of the truck. The only thing I can figure is a lifting eye used for the production line, but doesn't appear to be a weight centered position.
My Grandfather always said I ask the damn est questions..

Problem is I don't drink until the work is done, I guess I could pop one right before the wheels hit the ground......
