What is this new Ford Escape??

I sat in an Escape today when I went to pick a new engine fan blade for my 91 Explorer. It's nice but, man has that thing got some firm seats, bordering on being hard. Sorta like the last Escorts. I read a test on the Escape and they had commented on how firm the seats were and they were right. It was priced at +24k. At that price I believe you could get close to an Explorer at the right dealer.

Strange because I was looking at an Escape on Friday and it was $24,000 Canadian. Neat looking little buggy. Way better looking than any RAV4. It is as tall as an Explorer but narrower. I didn't drive it though. I will have to go do that before I make any real judgement about them.

Saw one on the road here in NY yesterday! Looked nice. Hell of a lot better looking than the Aztec. Almost ran off the road when I was blinded by one of those ugly things last week!

I saw one in Morgantown, yellow one. Not bad, I still think it looks like an Aspire from the front though.

It does look good. I've heard that it actually has more hip room than the Explorer. You know I didn't even pay attention to the mileage rating. Anybody know?
