I was given a box with this. I think it's a differential but I don't know for sure what it is, if it'll work in my truck, if not what it is so I can sell it while I'm slightly informed. Anyone that could give me some hints I'd greatly appreciate it.

They just handed you a box with stuff in it? Wish I knew people like that. :-D That is my best bet. I've never seen one though. Just a Guess because of the ARB piece of electrical stuff and it looks like a Locker.

The only numbers on it are 9810506 I think which aren't ARB numbers. I think it might be for a dana 30 out of a jeep, those are the only axle's I've seen on their site listed with a 27 spline shaft.

A Dana 35 in the front of a 1st Gen Ex has 27 splines...

Better news then I thought, I thought I'd have to go and join a heep forum to sell it. Unless I can cram the IFS of a jeep liberty in the front of my sport. Any ideas as to what it would be worth? I know $750 new but I of course don't expect to get that.....

No the 97 is the Ranger .. in other words, its for the TTB.

Nocturnall -- you can make quite some bling $$ from that. Just test it before you sell it.

The only things I'm worried about are the tack-welded bolts and the scuff marks. While its no biggie for an off roader, its kind of like buying a "lifted" explorer, they always go for less than a bone stock Explorer. But you should still be able to get maybe $500 for the unit.

Yeah tack welding things is normal (like U-joint caps) -- its just one of those things you'd rather do yourself to make sure the internals are all okay at first and the whole thing works. So yeah I guess dont worry about it too much.

Well I tried blowing into the air tube to get it to lock or unlock and no go. Right now it's doing pretty much what my truck does. Turn one input and the other spins the opposite direction so like a open carrier...That correct? I know NOTHING about differentials. I can't get enough air into it to get it to change position. It says 0 - 10 bar on the solenoid which 1 bar is 14 psi if I recall correctly.....

Oh I was very very happy when I noticed this differential because while I dunno what the hell it is I had a feeling it was worth something. Now I just gotta figure out what I want to buy after I sell it and the 2 drills I was given with it. Anyone need a 12v Makita drill and flashlight minus charger?

Thats definitely an older design ARB Air Locker.
I seem to remember both the D30 and 35 as having 8 ring gear bolts though, that one has 10.

I'm drawing a blank on what axle would have 27 splines, and 10 ring gear bolts... Toyota IFS maybe?
