i would just get oems they shoudl give you what you ar looking for. if you want a little more try jacobs wires and bosch+4 plugs but genrally the motocraft plugs/wires are very good

agree. motorcraft double plats can be had at autozone for 25 for all 6. you can shell out the money for the motor craft wires or you can just buy some decent ones at like advance auto...i got autolites and i like them...more power? maybe maybe not but the expo isn't a power house truck :)

thanks for the replies...i think i'm leaning towards the jacobs wires and i only hear good things about bosch platinums...or i might try taylor wires..i put them in my 94 camaro z28 that i just sold and they helped like crazy but i know i'm not dealing with a sports car here....anyone know where to buy some good plugs and wires...like bosch or taylors or jacobs?

IMO a high performance engine needs high performance parts. High performance ignition coil packs need high performance wires. The Explorer needs OEM parts to run its best. The only thing high performance wires is gonna do is take more $ from your wallet.
I have heard/read about prongs breaking off Bosch +4 plugs and questions about the 4 electrodes "shielding" the spark. Have not heard/read about any complaints about Motorcraft Dbl. Plat. plugs. In fact I have heard they were better but I dont know for sure.
Save your money and buy a chip if you want more performance.

I've always just replaced my plugs with motorcrafts. I got new wires at Napa for about $40. Don't remember what kind they were, but like performance ones which meant they weren't the cheapest but a step above.
