All V8 1996 and later use the 4R70W 4 speed box.
PS If you are unlucky and have an early 96 (made in 95) then it will be the dreaded A4LD box.

From all the posts that I've read the 4R70W is a fairly good box. They are all a bit sus. Just the 4R70W is less so.
