91 Navajo X 2
I am on detatchment duty in Nevada and the local auto wrecking yard just so happens to have a 91 Navajo like mine other than its an auto and mine is manual. things ive already taken are...

the driver side window
the electric window motors from both sides
sun roof
fuel lines
in the process of taking the gas tank too.
i have also taken the hydralic jack things that hold up the rear window.

i am wondering if anyone with more experience on their hands can give me some advice on what other parts i should try and take that will most likely come in handy in the future. the man in charge is giving me great military discount and i dont want to pass the oportunity by. he wont sell the truck to me. any sudgestions would be great thank you.:salute:

I'll get the power locks solenoids, hood release cable, rear wiper motor, spare tire crank and cable mechanism.

also, the radiator in the auto looks bigger than the one in my manual. would it be a good idea to pull the radiator for use in my Navajo? would it fit?

thank you for the suggestions, im heading back out there at noon.

Tail lamps, if they are good.....they are hard to find...and you can sell them to buy more parts for your project.

Thank you guys for all the advice. while i was there i picked a ton of parts. i need to go back for all the head / tail lights.

fenders, and any available glass is always nice to have on hand. doors too if you have a place to store them (not on the ground or they will rust and be worthless)

if you've got an extra electric window motor (or regulator more accurately) for the drivers door I'd by that off ya if you're willing to ship it.

Sorry bud,
i pulled both the driver and passenger electric motors, i just installed them i am looking into "rebuilding" the ones i got, i just want to figure out if i can and if i can put somthing better than the plastic thats in there that shatters over time. but they do have a 91 X there too, it should be the same. when i head back there i will see about getting some extra - extra parts.

so far i mananged to pull..

all the sensors that are readly available under the hood.
fuel lines
gas tank
both the window wipers (the whole thing)
hydralic lifter things for the rear window
the driver window
the sun roof
all the vents in the dash that were broken on mine
the spare tire (it was in better shape than mine)
the electric motors for both windows
head light bulbs
rubber intake
mass air flow thing
the grill
and various screws and bolts that were missing from my vehicle
all for $140

i plan on going back for the head lights and tail lights and i might tear into the motor a little. i will try and get extra parts such as the electric motors and if anyone absolutely needs something i will see what i can do. shipping will have to wait until i come home from detatchment duty in a few weeks.
if anyone has any ideas about things to take out of the motor, let me know. im trying to get to the rocker arm assemblys.
thank you guys for all the suggestions.

on the engine, you might take the cylinder heads as spare if your willing to dig in that deep.. if you ever overheat you're 4.0 it *might* crack a head (between the valves) and it's nice to have a spare one just in case.

also a spare a/c compressor might be nice.. alternator, steering pump and stuff.

hubs if it's 4x4. and if you take you're truck off road maybe grab the drivelines and the axle's (not the whole housing, just the shafts)

whatever you're willing to spend the time to pull off i guess, i'm always amazed at how much use i make of my spare parts piles (even though they are space consuming)
