Hello everyone:
I am building an expo 5.0 powered 2wd ranger at this time. I will be buying a tuner in the future, and I am not sure which one I need (SCT Diablo etc) . I want to be able to change to an improved tune in the near future.
I would like to set this up for a down stream turbo. I was told that I will have to change the MAF and the injectors to be able to support the forced induction. I want to be able to pass indiana emissions with the down stream turbo. I was told that the whole key is injector sizing, is this true?
Is a intercooler really necessary on a rear mount turbo? I am planning on running a Holset hx35 and limiting my boost level to around 7-10 lbs. I don`t want to scatter this thing right of the bat.
Dan.

SCT all the way. Most mustang shops can tune you also.

Thanks Guys,
What SCT tuning device would be the best? With all the different SCT tuners, I don`t know which one would would be the best choice for my application.
I have heard that Lasota has great service, I friend of mine has a 11 5.0 Mustang GT. He got his tune from them via his smartphone.

Thanks for all your help, I'm new at this high tech stuff.
Dan.

Plan for an intercooler. I run an air water intercooler so I could run the actual intercooler right along the frame rail so there is no extra piping. There isn't as much heat loss from back to front as Internet lore would suggest. That Hot air is moving really fast.

I prefer the DIY stuff that is more complete and has more control, but I understand that's not for everyone either. Moates Quarterhorse and either TunerPro RT or Binary Editor for tuning software.
