my sisters boyfriend has an expo, from looking at it i know its a limited, and it appears to be 4x2 but it was dark outside. the interior seems to be well used and the center console lid was pretty far gone.

the motor is blown, everything else is fine, and I don't know the exact year

blue book is 675 in fair condition, but this one doesn't run so what should I offer?

he told me 500, which I dont feel comfortable with, and he doesn't know what happend to it, he said he was driving down the highway and it stopped running.

I suspect its a head gasket issue which I can fix in a weekend.

I'd feel more comfortable with 350-400..or is that lowballing?

Offer him 250 and try to meet in the middle. If you cant fix it then part it out
