what speakers do i buy

well i have a really screwed up speaker situation... i had stock speakers.. they were blown, so i got some pyramids on ebay, they suck, so im selling them, and another pair blew out. so i want to buy some decent speakers now.. a good brand. But i dont want to spend a lot. I dont care about having a sweet system... i just want something that doesnt rattle/blow out easy/etc. i have a AWIA head unit... its not awesome, like a $150 model. so i dont want to put in awesome speakers that wont do crap anyway. i dont have subs or anything or external amps i dont think. I need front and rear... what sizes to get.. and someone please suggest a decent speaker, and a good cost thanks guys.

What's "don't want to spend much?" You can get some really decent pioneers for about $100 a pair, I got kenwood excellon speakers for about $80 a pair and since you don't have subs you shouldn't have to worry about power. If that's too much just go to wal mart and get those cheap JBL's they sell there.LOL! Hey, it could be a good suggestion.

Get low end Audiobahn coxials. They should be around $60.

stay away from pyramid .... they suck ass. I wish i could have told you that before you bought those pieces of ****. Everyones idea of cheap is differnt .... how much exactly are you looking to spend on a pair? Decent pairs usually sell for a minimum of $70 bucks a pair. Infinities are some clean sounding speakers.

my factory speakers blew out so i conned my fience into bying me 2 pairs of the kenwwood exelons 6x8 2 ways for christmas. could not believe the difference they made over the stock units without an externel amp. they usally run $150 per pair but if you go to a stereo shop you should be able to talk them down $20 to $30 if you buy two pairs. good luck !

Are you looking for components for full sound or do you just want moderate to medium bass? I like infinity kappas, Had them in my camaro, Also kenwood makes a decent 5 1/4 just a thought

Has anyone heard of Planet Audio speakers? After I blew the stock speakers, I'm looking for a replacement. I like great quality in the sound of speakers but I never heard of this brand. Are they good or bad?:thumbdwn:

i have heard of planet audio and they are pretty expense but sound really nice. i have 6 5x7s cerwin vegas that cost me 80.00 a pair. i love cerwin vega because they stick up to there warranty if they blow. they are of very good quality also. i would recommend these speakers to anyone.

Memphis makes really good speakers. I was looking into getting some and they're about $130 a pair I believe, but they have amazing sound. You might have to find someone who sells them (a dealer) because it might be difficult online. (I love that)
