What SUV would you have if you didn't have an explorer?
I'd take a Nissan Pathfinder, cause it has 240 HP. 0-60 in 8.4 seconds.
Or a 4Runner. Dangerous for rolling over but hey it still looks nice.
Not a Jeep Wrangler, its a tin can, seats are high up so if you get broadsided your ribs are gone.

Acura MDX

Test drove the Acura MDX this weekend - nice vehicle! My wife likes it and is considering getting it despite of the 2 months waiting list.

A 3 door Land Rover Defender 110 or a Series III 109 3 door with an upgraded front end (And upgraded engine, tranny, t-case, and axles).

A Range Rover 4.6HSE. One of my friend's dad has one and it's awesome!! It has a 10-disc Harmon Kardon sound system, a navigation system, the works!! Anyways, it's awesome!!!

If money was no issue, a Hummer. In real life, I'm pricing and comparing SUVs for my parents, and the one that is most appealing to me (other than another Explorer)is the Jeep Cherokee. I love that classic exterior styling, you can get the most powerful engine with a manual tranny, and there is already a lot of aftermarket stuff (lifts) out for it.

I really like the Volkswagen Jetta. If I had a little more $$, prolly an Audi A4 Quattro.

YES RAY! haha, if I coudln't have an explorer (considering montaineer and explorer as the same vehicle ) I would try and get a range rover completley decked out with the grille guard and tail ilght guards, all that good ol stuff, but if money wasn't an object, couldjn't you technically have an explorer AND all these other suvs?

If money was no object, probably the G-Wagon. I'd much rather have one of those than a Hummer. But since I don't have an extra $130k, that's out.

Since money is an object, I can't think of one. That's why I own an Explorer.

i'm actually looking into the same thing cause my dad's expedition lease is up soon. i just test drove a 2000 escalade and a yukon denali. both are just unreal. i would take either if i had to give up my explorer.

Well my 2nd choice would be a truck- a Toyota Tacoma to be exact. Well if I had to choose a suv and I had the $ it would be either a Hummer, an Expedition or an Excursion.

well, honestly. owning my explorer has been a rather disappointing experience so chosing another would be no sweat. LONG LONG story. if i had a choice of another suv in the same price range i wouldnt mind the Grand Cherokee or the Dodge Durango. if money isnt an issue then i could go on all day about the others. im a valet, i drove it all!! you want my opinion id be more than happy to share it.

I would have to say I would go with a Jeep GCherokee...ONLY if there were no explorers in existence!

What is a unimog? I have heard that term before out on the trails, I seem to remember someone saying they had one...Is it a Swiss military vehicle? If it is what I am thinking of...Money would DEFINATELY have to be no object...like driving a tank around!
