Ok, I think I know how to fix this problem, but I wanna make sure that it is hte truth. Okay, so both of my Halogens went out at the same time. ( I am pretty sure at the same time anyway, if not within minutes). My reflectors work, but my daytime running light don't nor my regula night lights. My hi-beams do work. Is it just the Halogens, or could it be a fuse? I took a look at the Halogen on the passenger side, right by the air filter, and it looked fine from what I saw. I didn't want to look at the one on the drivers side because I didn't want to take out the battery unless I knew exactly what was wrong, whether it was the halogens, or something else.

Do you guys think I should just replace the Halogens? Or could it possibly be something else? Anyone else had this porblem? It kind of suspicious to have both of them go out at the same time ya know, so I figure I would ask just to make sure. I guess if it's a fuse, my hi-beams wouldn't work either would they?

Thanx guys!

I have never seen both go at the same time, but I guess it could happen. I would vote for a blown fuse or
the switch in the stalk (bright/dim) has gone bad.

i had some "cool blue" white lights on my truck and they both went at the same time, i checked the fuses and that wasnt it. cause i thought it would be odd that they both went at the same time. so i popped the hood, and took the bulbs out, looked fined...so i put em back in and what do ya know...they worked. then a few hours later they didnt again. so i popped the hood again and banged around the slots where the bulbs slide through the lense and they turned on again. jus needed a good banging. but ya, that only worked for so long (another hour)

long story short, i bought new bulbs..sylvania, or whatever "silver stars" and now they both work...all the time. so it can happen.

Do you high beams work, or does just the pull back light flasher work? My Multifunction switch(the thing that your turn signal stalk goes into) burnt up and all that worked was the high/low flash.

my high beams worked but not regular (low) beams. they worked when i pulled the lever back for the quick flash, and pushed the lever forward.

Hmmmm well I guess I will try to put new ones in on Sunday, unless I can find a messed up fuse before I try that. Thanx, and I will get back to you guys.

Well I was going to replace them both on Sunday, however, they only had one 9007 left in stock, so I only replaced one of them. I replaced the passenger side one , and it worked fine so I guess it was the halogens that were burnt out even though they looked fine. Now I just have to do the drivers side. Anyone replaced that one without taking out the battery? I think I am going to have to, because it's too tight. Thoughts.

hahah well im dumb, and know nothing about cars, i jus did it with my truck off. not removing the battery or disconnecting it. i did know to wear gloves cause the oil from your skin can cause them to burn out faster. so no i dont think you have to disable the battery.

If your hands aren't too big you shouldn't have to take out the battery.
