What tire and where to buy 245/65/17

Hello Everyone:

I am in need of tires on my stock 2003 with 43267 miles. I don't want to spend a lot but do want a nice middle of the road tire. I want it to be good quality and great in snow since that is pretty much what this truck is used for. I looked on tirerack and discounttiredirect so far and have checked with my local Ford dealer but would like a few more options before I decide.

Call around to local tire shops for prices. They usually have better prices than the national chains or dealers. Tire rack is an excellent place to look at ratings, reviews and pictures of the tires you are calling about. Also use the search on here to look up certain tires to read reviews about.

thank you for the reply...I was talking to a few buddies today and have a few local shops I will call Monday. The seach you are talking about.. Do I just type Ina tire model or is there a certain section that lists tires here on the club?

You can just try searching by the tire name, or browse the tire section for threads: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11
You should find some comparisons and experiences between some tires.

There is also a product reviews section. Not sure how many people submitted "official reviews" on here though.
