- 1991 explorer 4dr EB
Hello, sorry if this is in the wrong forum. Just looking for some opinions here. I have a 1991 all stock Explorer. 250,000+miles on body, 125,000 on current motor, 35,000 on current re-built trans. Have never touched the front diff. Has had rear wheel bearing, front wheel bearing, front hubs, and the regular maint stuff for the motor replaced. Here's my problem. My girlfriend has been driving it, but she has had a company car. So, the explorer mainly sat alot. This was great. Now her company wants her to drive her own car because of expense. She has two options. 1) get a new car thru the company and can ONLY drive to for work, no going to the store or misc trips on her private time like they let her do now, or 2) they will pay for gas and maint on the explorer. Her job involves driving per day about 150-250 miles per day. Would this be a good idea to put the Explorer into this kind of service? Thanks.
