Hey i am need of some help with my 92 explorer. I am stuck making a decision to keep or sell my explorer. The truck runs great but theres littles things that need work but costly. The truck has 168,x.. km's. 4x4, 4.0l, a/t/c, synthetic fluids. The truck is great on fuel, i can get 700km out of tank hwy. the problem is it needs brake shoes, pads, 2 brake lines i think a clutch but it still feels like there is a bit of clutch but maybe in need. and the minor rust spot underneatht he rear doors. I have a bit of money into it already with 31's and a pioneer stereo deck, subs, amp. the thing is i love the fuel economy but dont really wanna put in the extra money into since i am still in highschool but need reliable transportation. Any help would be awesome with this decision. also i hope i put it in the right forum.. thanks for the help

Id weigh the difference in a new vehicle and how much it will cost to fix that one up some. If its been reliable and good on gas just repair the couple things. Alot of ex's here have gone a long time.

I wasnt going to buy an new vehicle but more of a newer one.. I would consider buying a different ex. but my brother had one that was just horrible but mine is great. the brakes to get fixed is about 400cdn + the lines. the clutch i have no idea how much it is and the rust is the killer. its not bad but theres a few tiny holes. couple shops gave me outrageous estimate of 2000 cdn to fix it but they were scams i think i am going to go to a couple of private guys to get it quoted. I wish i had a digital cam so i could show the forum what the body is like. theres the obvious minor shopping cart dent and things but the interior is flawless. there is not one stain in the carpet or seats. i put seat covers on to protect the cloth seats. the person who owned it before me treated it like gold so its a hard toss up. thanks for the help

Sorry, I meant another vehicle not a new one.
