What To Do ????

I recently got a 93 4x4 to replace my F250. I mainly do moderate wheelin nothing to crazy. I want to put 31X10.5 on the stock wheels, but I want to raise it up a bit 4" lift is not in the budget right now. I was going to put a 3" bl in it but i saw one on a X and it looked like Sh** and now want to get it up 2-3 in with the suspension, What would work for this? Also does anyone sugestions about mods to the tranny to make it a little stronger i know they are junk.

The cheapest SL is a coil spacer in the front and a AAL and shackle in the rear and a alginment this will net you around 1 1/2"-2" of lift.Do a search of those keywords and you will have a ton of information of the the procedure.Sometimes you can find good deals on used lift kits. you just have to look around.
I am not aware of much you can do for the transmission while in the vehicle, I would have a large transmission cooler, always come to a complete stop before shifting between R or D, do not tow in overdrive.

I have this very lift. What a difference, i love it and offroad I can handel alot more than when it was stock

I'm going to test it out this weekend for my self, can't wait!!! BTW I love this site, my friend told me no one in thier right mind would lift an explorer body was he wrong!!

nah there isn't anything wrong with a body lift on an explorer...no more dangerous than a body lift on a blazer. And the suspension lift would move more weight up, so it would make an explorer more tippy than a body lift. Too bad soooooooooooo many people equate explorers with rollovers, we roll over more since there are many many many more of us on the road...and the whole firestone thing. Annoys the hell out of me when my fiance says i'm gonna roll the expo...oh well, i'm ranting. POST PICS!!!!!
