What to get for my 92 X?

thanks for all your replies. after hearing about the lack of problems with alpine hu's i think thats what ill go with. i dont think im going to take my x on any heavy off roading so i figure it should be fine. how do different boxes make the base sound different? the only specific type of box i can think of is a sealed box. what kinda sound would that have? what are other types of boxes and how are they different? i really want to put at least the sub in the factory location inplace of the old components. is there any way to get the clean sound im looking for in that locatoin? if a 10 would do it better then i would do that. im not stuck on an 8. dont really want anything bigger then a 12 though.

If you are looking for something to fillout the lower notes, and have good sound quality you are going to want a sealed box. They sound the cleanest. Porteds are louder, but tuned to one frequency. Bandpass are poorted above the speaker and sealed below it. Loudest, but worst sound quality. Someone on the board recently put a box together to go in the stock location. They posted directions, and I believe it hold a 10. You are going to want to look for a sub with a low THD, high sensitivity, and that will work in a small sealed box.
