Hi ! Been a while since I've posted, but I really don't have any issues with it. I have a 2002 Explorer XLT with the 4.6 SOHC V8. I usually only drive it in the winter so it has sat all summer. I noticed quite a leak of trans fluid where it had been sitting.
The leak is coming from the drain plug for the transfer case. It's a crack from the plug opening and goes about an inch or so. My mechanic buddy is going to drain it and hit it with some JB Weld and then RTV until I can get another case half or another complete case.
So, I guess my big question is, what case does my 2002 XLT V8 have and which ones are compatible ?
