What type of engine and size?

i decided i wanted to fix up my explorer then i realize most of the mods under the hood revolve around the engine my current engine is the stock engine but up to 150 thousand miles i will need a new one soon so why do any mods to the current engine then just have to change them when i want a better engine for the next one .... i do need some help picking the size and type of engine i should go with now so any hins or tips will be greatly appriceated

I think what is best if if you rebuilt your engine with Vanir parts. Do a seach for them on the site.
