Ok, so I need to replace the u-joint in my front driveshaft.. been having problems getting the right one.
So I happend to have one from my Bronco2, and it looked to be the same size. Well, me and my dad tried putting it in the Sploder shaft.. it was a little bit too tall.
So I go to the CarQuest here (I like the people there the most, and they ARE knowledgeable) to see what their system says. Well, needless to say, the one I had was the one in their system, but it isn't the right one. It showed the same number for all the Explorers. The CarQuest part # was 1-0153, but it's like 1/16" taller than the one I took out of the shaft. The guy that was helpin me, pulled out the micrometer, and tried to get measurements and find one in the book, but had NO luck at all.
I tried looking on the DanaSpicer website, but the only info they have available on the driveshaft is "Obsolete" hah.
And the u-joint I pulled out has NO info, except for a "P9"
Any ideas?
