What is the biggest tire that will fit on a 15x4 rim?

It is for a subaru.

A bike tire? :D

I didnt know they even came that small...

I would assume some sort of motorcycle tire though....

Are you sure they arent 15x6 or something more reasonable?

175/70R15 will work (what I found recommended for 15x4.5)

Any 165 series should work, depends on what's available and what overall diameter you want for the profile #.

26-7.5-15 in standard terms

Found that info on a few different sites. You're lucky I'm bored and have cable. Nothing a little Google couldn't fix!

Someone owes me one

I was wondering how big of a tire would fit on a subaru tempory spare rim, the temp tire is 135/80-15.
early subarus had a bolt pattern of 4x140 mm and 13 inch rims finding diffrent rims for bigger tires is what I am looking.
Whayt I found was that I could take 15 inch 6 lug toyota rims and driill two new holes in the rim and make them work or I can drill four new hole in the subaru and convert them to 6 lugs.
The subaru is going to be my new daily driver.
Thanks for your help.
Joe

I would not convert rims like that. Do it right and get conversion spacers or better, new rims.
