what year ranger lifts are interchangable?

Hey guys,
I know I've seen the years before, but now that I actually need to know, I can't find them anywhere...

What year Ranger suspension lifts will fit onto a 92 X, WITH LITTLE TO NO MODIFICATION?

I'm planning on a SOA in the rear, and am now just trying to find a cheap lift for the front. My buddy just took a 5.5 off his 87 and I'm hoping that would fit.

1987 will fit. The only problem you might run into is the front sway bar runs through the radius arm cross member in those so there is no compensation for the sway bar you have. In a 5.5 lift, you will need extended links or a sway bar drop bracket. You might put up a wanted add. People probably have them around from taking off thier sway bars. Or you could just take off your sway bar! Then, of course, the rear will be different.

Oh 83-95 w/ the exception of the sway bar drops will fit. Some Dana 28 rangers have the same sway bar as you- early 90s- and I think all the Dana 35 rangers should.

all the DANA35 Ranger lifts will fit. I see that all Ranger lifts 83-97 are the same (). Skyjacker lists one lift kit for those years of Ranger either a 6 or 8 inch.

As long as the front end is a DANA35 it should fit with no mods - except for the sway bar.... but who needs a sway bar anyway?

My mistake 83-97. They fit whether it is a DANA 35 or a DANA 28. The sway bars will only be an issue on the early 28s.

so the axle drop brackets from a ranger kit will work on the explorer front end regardless if it was for a dana 35 or a dana 28?

is there any possibility that my front is a dana 28? I was looking through some old records and one of the shops had a part for a dana 28 listed. It was a record from the precvious owner from years ago so i can't really inquire with the shop, but is that possible on a '91?

IMO you've got a DANA35.

any front end brackets will work...

BTW... I've got some Superlift brackets for the front... 3" axle drop brackets and a big one for a 5.5" lift... if anyone's interested.
