What yrs can I swap my ohv for?

Hey guys, some of you may seen that I blew a piston. Well I'm looking for a used motor and found a couple. What yrs of explorer and aerostare can swap in? How hard is it to swap out the egr? What things need to be changed in the aerostar to ex swap? oilpan? manifolds?

The 94 Engines are different by a bit, thats for sure.

You can use any year 91-00 OHV 4.0's with some simple exhaust manifold and wiring swaping. I don't have time this morning to post all the info but when I return home this afternoon I will.

There is also a post I've responded to in either Nov. or Dec. about it so if you wanna do a search on my name then you can probably find more before I return home. I've done many 98OHV's into 91-94 OHV's.

I still have one question which is poster on the thread, and is do I need a chip burned for the fast burn heads?

Nope,

I've read that article that says you do as well and they are full of it. I've got a good buddy that we done his swap over 2 years ago and his is running just fine.
