whats in my tranny pan

I changed the fluid in my 91 and found, what looks like copper filings and a couple of pieces of what looked like copper wire in the bottom of the pan. Thin strands bout an inch long. All the wiring on the valve body is in tact. so any body know what the hell this is all bout?

Hey welcome to the site! strands an inch long? that is weird, sounds like the braiding from a hose or maybe a few strands of wire?
