whats my trans?

Hi folks, I have a 2000 Explorer Sport with an auto transmission. It only has a low, high, & auto setting for the 4X4. I have got the dreaded shift flare issue but I need to know what model the trans is or how do I tell? Where do I look? Thanks in advance....

there's a tag on the door. right under "TR" meaning transmission, it'll have a corresponding letter to represent the transmission. there's a chart on these forums somewhere..it takes a while to find but, let me know what letter shows up, and if you don't figure it out first i'll let you know!

Mine is a D as well. Thanks guys for all the info. Guess I'm gonna start figuring out part #s to fix the shift flare. Unless someone has that all figured out already for this trans. Any info like who's filter, gasket, parts are the best, oil type etc.....would be welcomed. I saw how long some of those valve body-5r55e threads are. It would take some time to read it all & sort out the facts from fiction if you know what I mean. Thanks again guys...
