What's the largest possible engine that could fit in an 01' Sport SOHC model?

I've been seriously considering dropping a few grand on a turn-key crate motor, but am having some difficulties in determining what size could fit. Have any of you heard of a 351 being dropped in this model? That saying "There's no replacement for displacement" is haunting me right now and I'm in the market for a huge power fix in my Sploder. Let me know your thoughts.

Pretty much anything that can fit in a 95-00 sport (or 95-01 4 door) Explorer will fit into a 01+ sport. The frames are the same, just the body is different. A 351W can be stuffed into an explorer. You will have to do some heater box modifications though, because the motor is wider than a 302. A 302 (or similar) swap would essentially be a bolt in operation, because other explorers were available with them. You will just need a lot of parts.

If you plan to do a 351W swap, plan for some modifications in order to get it to fit. That would a freakin awesome swap for a sport.

I just think this would be so bad ass to have in an Explorer. Nobody would see it coming.
