Whats this Sensor?

Right by the radiator on the driver side there appears to be a sensor just haning out in space. It has a little protrusion and threads at one end and a connector on the other.

I think its the temp sensor for the overhead console. :confused:
 






Any idea why it is threaded though? Wouldnt this imply it should be screwed into something?
 












Do a search for my threads from around March. I had the same pic! It's a dummy cover for the factory air temp sensor for an overhead console. Pull the cover towards you and you'll see the connector plug. Do the console mod and plug the sensor there. Then do the temp sensor wire/console splicing here to the factory harness under the dash.

Correct. It's just a cover over the connector. But you will need it if you ever want to put in an overhead console, which by the way, is a great addition and only takes around two hours to do.

Well I already have an overhead console (if that is one in the picture). Look at my picture again, it already has the sensor on it. Maybe I am just confused though.
