whats wrong with my baby

hi i have a 1997 v6 4003cc and i have brown mush around the oil filler cap on the engine but there is none on my dipstick or in my rad the engine runs perfect with no lost of power and there is no water dips can any one tell me what could be wrong with my baby. john.

Probably just condensation has gathered in the top of the engine. Just clean it up and do an oil change.

Hey jab, you won't be able to find out about the water loss until it leaves a drip somewhere, like your driveway, then check around the edge of the water pump 1st, as the gasket leaking may be all it is, if you are lucky.

H as to brown mush around filler cap I had a Austin that done that when I looked there was this wire wool in cap that trapped water and then made the brown mush had me worried at 1st but I'm sure yours sounds the same do oil change as some one suggested but I would also give the cap once over as well.
