look at the pics in my sig. i have 32 x 1150 with only the tt and shackles/addaleaf.

to be honest with you a body lift will help you clear th etires and it will remain stock riding. with the tt you do benefit from increased ground clearance in the front. i like the ride a little stiffer. i can feel the road. the only true performance lift is a suspension lift which allows lift and wheel travel.

well... I thought TT and add a leaf was good enough, so I did it. It cleared my 265/75/16 tires (about 31.6")

After about 1 month I wanted more so I did the add a leaf and cranked the torsion bars all the way.

After another month I decided I wanted more so I added the 2" Body lift. That was only about 2 weeks ago. I already know I want more, but I'm out of ways to do it that fit my budget.... oh well.

So basically... start small and start building and stop where you are happy... but fair warning... once you start it's hard to stop!!

I would, but it was a b*t@h and I don't want to have to worry about the extensions that I need.

i recently helped a friend with toyota. 2 cases of busch, 3 people, a grill, london broil, corn on the cob, 4 jacks, 6 hours. thats with airtools, a feast and a low level beer buzz.

i by no means sugest drinking nad working under your truck.

I had 2 other people... which helped. I'de say that is a good number... too many get in the way.

I would start early on a friday afternoon. It should be done by sunday. Make sure you hit all the bolts everyday for 5 days with WD-40 before you start.

as for tools... I remember struggling to find an 18mm deep socket. Other than that you should be fine with a basic socket set. I also used a rotozip to do some slight modifications You will have to be creative to change the bumper. some of the bushing were rusted to the bolt, so when we turned the bolt, the bushing just turned too and we couldn't get the bolt out. To solve that we flattened 2 sides of the round bushing and used channel locks to make sure the bushing couldn't spin... but I think each person runs into their own problems.

As for beer... NOPE! I swear if we had anything else to do my car would still be in my buddies garage with parts spread all over.

In your pictues it looks like you did some bolt cutting...true??? I have a decent tool set but have no air tools...I dont want to get the lift then have it sit around the house. Where did you order yours from??Price$$$??

SOME??? hehe... Yeah, I'de say we did some cuting. The picture is from flattening out the edges of the bushing so that we could grip it with clamps (clamps trying to hold a round object just doesn't work too well).
I also did some hardcore cutting for the bumper. I cut anything any everything that got in the way of moving the bumper up 2". That stratagy actaully worked well.

I had help from 2001sport when we did might and we knocked out the 3" body lift, and shackles in about 6 1/2 hours. Matts a god though he had everything we needed. Even got a little lifted by matt sticker

i know that wd-40 helps, but i have been using a product called JB Blaster it is a heavy duty penetrator and i think it works really well. better than wd in my opinion. they also make jb blaster tune up which i use to lube my spark plugs before them in and any other bolt that has to be clean. my $.02.

You can always cut a body lift. If you think 2 inches is too much, which you might, you can cut an inch off and only lift the body an inch. Then you may even be able to get away with your stock bumber mounts. Just a thought.
