Hey all,

So I had to do a quick bit of work on my passenger compartment fuse box earlier, and bent in some real awkward ways to access it. Even with the seat all the way back I ended up sitting on the running board and bending my back over the floor of the Ex. Really happy it took no longer than a minute.

What do you all do when you need to do work underneath the dash? I'm thinking about the future if I ever need to do anything longer, and I feel like half the time will be spent working the kinks out of my back if I contort myself like that again. And I'm not even that old. :D

So yeah, do you unattach the driver's seat? Lay upside down with your legs touching the ceiling? Just man up and deal with it?

I think the contortionist method is probably the most widely used! If I were doing anything really major or time consuming, I might consider removing the drivers seat, but other than that, it probably wouldn't be worth the extra effort.

My preferred method is cussing loudly when I'm hitting my head on things and hurting my back.

I'm 6'5" and getting to the fuse panel is a nightmare for me. Something along the lines of laying my back on the floor, feet on the ground and neck twisted to the side to see the panel.

The location on my 2nd gen is perfect. Not sure what they were thinking with the 3rd gen.

Heh, alright. Glad to see it wasn't just me. I suppose if I ever need to do extended work I'll set up some kind of table to lay on at floor height. Cheers all!
