So I have a 05 exp 4wd with about 92k. about two weeks ago I noticed a loud humming when I turn slight left. So I assumed it was bearings. I am intermediate at best when it comes to cars so I consulted my father-in-law who is quite the expert. We lifted the car checked the bearings as best we could with tires off and on. It certainly does not seem like a bearing problem.
Cv joints seem fine as well as the boots. The humming is getting louder and I notice it when driving straight now too. Tried inflating tires to 45psi and then drop to 25psi but no real difference in the sound.
I am at a loss. Could it be a suspension problem, alignment, or are bearings still me best be?
Help please,
Thanks.
