Hi guys,
Since Friday I have noticed a constant humming from the drivers side front, with a speed increas that hum gets a bit louder and with a slower speed it gets a bit quieter. I don't have any other sounds coming from it does this sound like bearings. This is mt first 4x4 so I am not really sure.
Thanks.

If it is a very low pitched rhythmic hum, then it probably is the bearings. The problem is, the bearings are part of the hub on the 4x4. The fix will require the replacement of the hub assembly, not just a bearing or two.

I have the same issue with my 98 4x4 sport at the moment.

So the bearings can't just be knocked out and new ones pressed in? I have not seen a hub but from the drawings in books it looks simple enough! Is there something I am missing?

Sounds like the same problem I had, and it was cured when I had my hubs replaced. Yeah, they r 1 piece and they ain't cheap!
