Wheel Hub Replaced

Alright, I had a older post before, where my front left wheel would make noise when braking or winding sounds while on the highway, finally got it checked it and it was the wheel hub.

It was really rusty and it also had a bad ABS sensor on it. Now that I got it replaced its fine and no ABS light but I feel so cheated.

The labor fee is alright since the mech is a friend so I don't mind paying more than usual, but heres the deal. He called up one of the wholesale dealers and had them bring the hub , told me that it cost $275 JUST FOR THE WHEEL HUB. Now I had no idea what that is and how much it would cost. I told him to get it get it installed for a grand total of $375. Now I got home and checked out the Wheel hubs on ebay and other sites and find it to be MUCH cheaper, than what I paid for. I feel like I got **** on. Gave him a call, told me it's expensive because he got the most reliable one and I believe him but I just can't justify the price I paid for something I could have gotten for more than half off of the internet.

So, Did I get cheated or is this a regular price for the wheel hubs.

i just replaced my pass. side today myself for $156/hub, $6/locktite= 162+tax
there were 2 hubs available at the local oreilys, the higher one was $182
what was the brand of hub you did get for $275?

I think it was something like SPK or SFX or SPK
It was in a blue box with a picture of the hub. It seemed pretty generic.

I still have the Box and the old Hub in the X.
