ok ive had my 92 4x4 explorer for about 5 -6 weeks now and been lookn at some newer wheels and i really like the soft 8s by comp wheels. the place that have went to have what i want and are made by pacer. anyway my ? is the wheels im get has a 0 offset. i was told the new wheels would stick out 2 more inches then my stock wheels. its the look i want but is that too much or what? i have 235/75/r15 right now and goin to use the same tires. any pics would b nice to c what it would look like thanks James

any one have any pics of there explorers with a 0 offset wheels with or with out a lift?

Can't you calculate the difference based on the stock wheel's dimensions as the baseline? This should tell you roughly how much the wheels will "stick out".

i know how much they will stick out just want to c how it will look b4 i buy then and then find out i dont like them.

The wheels-sticking-out-past-the-fenders thing is played out and really just a good way to make your ride look ghetto and attract attention from law enforcement, not to mention the extra stress it puts on things like wheel bearings and spindles.

That much offset would be needed with larger tires and a lift, but not with stock 235/75R15's. If you plan to get a lift and bigger tires later that's fine, but you might be better off getting that stuff done first, then getting tires and wheels.

I wouldn't do it otherwise, it just looks goofy.

im getn some 31s from a friend soon and a 2 inch lift soon to i hope. been doin alot of stuff to the x just takes time and money cuz im in college right now for auto collision. Cant wait to start doin the suspension. just wanted to c what it would of looked like. i reall cant find the wheels with a close offset to stock. just a negative off set.
